Pilates Mat classes are full-body workouts that create long, lean muscles strengthening and lengthening. Mat Pilates is based on the original exercises developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s and incorporates the principles of centering, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow. It focuses on your core (trunk) while also training your arms and legs.
During the class, you will be instructed on a mat on the floor using gravity and your body’s resistance - and sometimes small props, such as foam rollers, the magic circle or ring, balls, or weights.
